Did you know that even if you are not able to travel to Kiserian and volunteer with us in person, you CAN volunteer from behind your computer? Thanks to the online volunteering platform at
Nabuur, volunteers from around the world can join
our virtual "village" and contribute to the designated tasks in our project room. We have a great group of 47 volunteers at this time.
Some of the ways that our online volunteers have contributed to date include:
- Creating a draft website
- Establishing our Twitter account
- Creating a blog for our organization
- Creating a Facebook Fan page
- Collecting and donating shoes to the children at our school
- Donating school supplies and bedding for the children who stay at the school.
- Sharing links to organizations who may be able to help us
- Assisting us in contacting different humanitarian groups focused on development
Everyone has something to offer. While it can be intimidating to share online and you may feel a little "out of your element" at first, stop by our village - say hello and take the first step. We truly do appreciate our volunteers and believe that if we work together we will achieve our organizational goals.
